Don’t Forget The Staff!

The anticipation of the office Christmas party starts slowly building as autumn approaches with hopes of a great night out, plenty of festive fun and lots of gossip to devour in the days that follow!

It’s important to get your party just right as it really lifts employees morale and is seen as a genuine ‘thank-you’ for all the hard work of the year.

As important as any element at the party is getting the right staff – they really can make or break the event, but organising staffing is often one of the last things on the to-do list!

You want to set the scene for a festive, relaxed atmosphere right from the start with smiley, welcoming waiters and waitresses who are on hand to tend to everyone’s needs. Have some fun at the bar, with cool cocktail makers whipping up some Christmas cocktails. Take the pressure out of managing the party yourself and let an experienced event manager oversee all the hospitality elements, including the

1. Book your staff well in advance - the key Christmas dates are the busiest of the whole year and staff get booked up very far in advance.

2. Add that something extra to the party by booking cocktail mixologists to mix up Christmas cocktails, or baristas to serve up expresso’s at the end of the night.

3. Make sure you tailor make your staffing to suit your Christmas party - selecting the right balance of waitresses vs. barman vs.managers to run the evening  - you want to be able to relax and enjoy the party.
