Themed parties are all the rage. They’re everywhere. Chances are you’ve been to one or at least been invited to one in the last week, month or year. Theming your party is a great way to make people really remember it. After all, what’s more memorable: a house filled with people and a few bottles of wine or drinks served up by the Mad Hatter?
Once you’ve decided to throw a theme party though, it can be tremendously stressful to try and pick the right theme and work out how best to achieve it. Here are some basic theme ideas to get you started:
• Alice’s Wonderland
• On the Beach
• 23rd Century
The above are just a few of the many themes you could try. If you’re throwing a Christmas party, why not try a Narnia theme or a Northern Lights theme? If you’re throwing a wedding party, you could try a romantic Parisian theme or a magical fairytale theme. Probably best is to decide on a couple of potential themes and visit your local party shops to see what they have on offer that you could use to make it happen.
If you have the money and want to make a really memorable evening, it’s worth looking into extras like bands (a jazz band for a 1920s night would really set the mood), marquees, backdrops, table centres and entrances. If all that sounds like too much work – after all, it’s a lot to organise, see if there are any local themed party companies that will put it all together for you. They’ll have loads of ideas and plenty of experience, and will be able to talk you through exactly what you want, and deliver it with the professional finish that doing it yourself can often lack.
However you decide to do it, a themed party can make your wedding/Halloween/Friday night a truly memorable one that your guests will talk about for years to come.
