Burlesque
Burlesque is a traditional form of dance, yet in today’s culture its bizarre mix of comedy and sex makes it totally radical - a far cry from the typical routines of other exotic entertainment performers.
The dancers are exotically clothed, the plot satirical and the pace is frenetic. Neo-burlesque shows are enjoying a resurgence, and often make fun, yet socially relevant viewing.
