I find great offence at your comment on your partyoffers website stating that Non Guild Fairgrounds are shoddy. Actually I don't think this is very professional of you in the slightest. As an owner of fairground equipment myself, who hasn't been lucky enough to be born with a silver spoon in my mouth, and not had rides and fairground positions handed down through forefathers who actually got money and places for you; i've had to struggle (with excellent, fully ADIPS tested equipment may i add!) to get places because of the usual 'sorry us guild run the whole lot' and it's not a level playing field as many councils have found out'. Thankfully many councils and shopping centres are beginning to realise just how uncorporate Guild Members are. There is NOTHING to be proud about being a Guild Member, infact the amount of centre and council event co-ordinators whose first question is 'You're not in the guild are you?' has been astounding. They're all getting wise to the two year ruling, which infact, unbelievably has NO LEGAL BASIS whatsoever...what are you Pirates?? Like as in Pirates of the Caribbean...The rule of Parlez...don't make me laugh!
If you actually bother to look at the standard of equipment throughout the UK, not just Guild, you'd see that actually Non Guild members have better equipment by far. If you have a look round Nottingham last week, quite frankly Britains so called Premier Fair, look at the state of half the equipment? This is the standard of the Guild is it? How many years have your members been attending Nottingham, and you haven't even got running water or a proper mains system in place. If you go to Newcastle, tipping effluent into a drain with a fresh water tap above it, is that what the Guild call progress?? Half the places don't want you there anymore...look at the rest of Europe, they have proper services in place and wouldn't even give your rides two minutes thought. In fact, i had the misfortune of going on a Guild Members waltzer last year, omg, i wished i hadn't bothered. The seats where literally falling apart and you could see the platform through the floor of the car, firstly how on earth did that even pass ADIPS and secondly i wonder why it's not attending Hull Fair anymore?! I'd just like to wish all the european equipment coming to London this festive season all the best, because they're walking all over you, and they're NOT GUILD MEMBERS either.
So i hope you remove your defamatory comment regarding non guild fairgrounds, afterall perhaps you should remember where your forefathers started from...non guild if i recall!
