Asian wedding company moves East
UK Asian wedding planning company Tania-Tapel is hoping to repeat its success in top British venues as it works in Mumbai and Dubai to create exclusive celebrations.
For more than ten years the company, started by Anita Patel, has organised elaborate Asian weddings in venues from London's Park Lane to British stately homes.
Now the company hopes to repeat the success in Mumbai and Dubai – two rapidly developing areas.
Ms Patel said: "It's become apparent in the UK in recent years that couples love the blend of new ideas and new locations with Indian traditions – and an increasing number of them source things like outfits, jewellery and stationery directly from India and Dubai."
She said that now the reverse is happening with people tying the knot looking to the UK for inspiration for their big day.
Ms Patel added: "Things are moving so quickly and it's obvious that an increasing number of couples and families want more exclusivity for their weddings - no doubt influenced by the big Bollywood and celebrity weddings they have seen.
"We can offer the best of both worlds, combining our logistical expertise in the UK marketplace and our extensive contacts with suppliers, with an equal service in Mumbai and Dubai.
"We are hoping that our presence will inspire brides with some of the finer touches helping them save hours of time and giving them complete peace of mind knowing their event is in the capable hands of experts."
