'Worn out' Rooneys cancel lavish UK party

Wedding party organisers could be put out after newlyweds Wayne and Coleen Rooney cancelled their plans to have a second wedding reception.

The couple, who recently got married in a lavish ceremony in Italy, have just returned from their honeymoon and said they are too tired to hold a party back in the UK.

It is thought that the 22-year-old couple had promised friends and family who could not make their wedding that they would hold a £5 million second wedding reception upon their return to Britain.

But it seems that the party – which would have rivalled the stunning day the couple had for their wedding – has now been called off.

A source told the News of the World: "Because the wedding was so intimate lots of the family couldn't go but we were told there would be a big event afterwards where everyone was invited.
"Now it's been cancelled because they are partied out. It's caused a lot of bad feeling."

A spokesman for the newlyweds told the newspaper: "Wayne and Coleen enjoyed a fantastic wedding and now it's back to work."
