Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, has hosted a small Christmas party from an Oxfordshire hospice, according to reports.
Twelve children and adults from the Helen and Douglas House Hospice were invited to Clarence House, a royal residence, on Tuesday.
They joined in decorating a nine foot Christmas tree set up in the library of the house.
Guests were also treated to a tea party and got the chance to meet a Welsh Guard captain in all his regalia, the Press Association has revealed.
Sister Frances Ritchie, who founded the hospice, said: "It was the most lovely surprise to be invited here. We're so delighted."
The visitors gave the duchess a teddy bear as a thank you present.
