Charity bash attended by Jonathan Ross

An event organised in support of a charitable trust has been attended by BBC presenter Jonathan Ross.

The Medical Futures Innovations Awards were held in London at the Honourable Artillery Company Ground, organised to help raise money for the Lowe Syndrome Trust.

Ross is trustee of the charity and was invited to give a speech on its behalf, the Daily Mail reports.

A spokeswoman for the event revealed that the 48-year-old also donated a Japanese scooter to the event's charity auction.

According to the Mail, she said: "Jonathan was very charming and in good spirits. He was invited as a guest by the Lowe Syndrome charity. He even donated some of his things to the charity auction."

A host of other celebrities were at the Medical Futures Innovations Awards, including Vanessa Feltz, Tony Hadley, Andrew Marr and Michael Burke.

The Medical Futures Innovation Awards "encourage, support and reward clinical and commercial excellence".
