Gallagher and Appleton secretly marry
Oasis lead singer Liam Gallagher finally wed long-term partner Nicole Appleton, former member of the All Saints, in a low-key civil ceremony yesterday.
The couple have been together for eight years and engaged in 2002, after having a son, Gene, who is now seven years old.
Thirty-five year-old Gallagher and Appleton, 33, said their vows in the same venue where the Oasis frontman married his first wife in 1997, the Westminster Register Office.
Former All Saints band members Melanie Blatt and Shaznay Lewis attended the Valentine's Day ceremony, as did Appleton's sister Natalie, with her husband Laim Howlett of the Prodigy.
Noel Gallagher was not present, however, and is believed to be spending time in Los Angeles at present.
Appleton was once engaged to Robbie Williams and said earlier this year that "marriage is important to me and I love the idea of being married".
She has been credited with curbing the Oasis singer's notorious drinking binges, as well as his behaviour and attitude.
Gallagher split with his first wife Patsy Kensit after just three years of marriage in 2000. They had a son, Lennon, who is now eight. He also has a nine-year-old daughter called Molly, with singer Lisa Moorish.
