Marriage plans of president's daughter revealed
Jenna Bush, the daughter of the American president, is due to marry Virginia Republican leader Henry Hager, it has been revealed.
The school teacher will tie the knot this weekend, with the man she met during her father's re-election campaign.
George Bush's daughter appears to have been the last to hear about the secret engagement, after Mr Hager made his intentions known to both her sister, the first lady and president.
The groom popped the question during a hike in the Cadillac Mountains in Maine's Arcadia National Park in August last year.
"It was freezing," said Jenna. "But we got up and we hiked in the dark for an hour and a half and then got towards the top - with the sunrise - he asked me."
The wedding ceremony on May 10th will feature around 200 close friends and family and take place at the Bush family ranch in Crawford, Texas.
Laura Bush said "it's a thrill" to be about to welcome a new member of the Bush family.
