Consultancy firm Accenture hosted female-only corporate events in 26 countries around the world to celebrate International Women's Day.
Around 6,000 people in 49 locations attended the events which had the theme of Women in a Multipolar World.
In London, the event was held at the new Emirates Stadium, the home of Arsenal football club. About 500 women attended double the number that attended last year, the Times reports.
Fiona Gibson, who organised the corporate event, said: "Whether you support Arsenal or not, [the Emirates] is a place that has a lot of success and achievement around it.
"IIt is really a celebration of womens achievements and their successes, both inside Accenture and outside in their everyday lives and its part of our plan to attract, retain and promote women, and to keep them happy and motivated."
The corporate event involved a number of workshops, speakers and panel discussions with speakers including Olympic 400m gold winner Sally Gunnell.
