Carphone Warehouse postpones Christmas corporate event

Carphone Warehouse staff are missing out on a Christmas corporate event because of the launch of Apple's iPhone, according to reports.

The retailer was supposed to have its Christmas party at Alexandra Palace in London on November 10th, but this date clashed with the launch of the long-awaited Apple product.

It is expected that a spring ball will now take place instead of the planned Christmas corporate event.

A spokeswoman for Carphone Warehouse told website Mobile Today: "We have postponed it because we couldn't have it on iPhone launch weekend."

She added that a venue has been booked for a corporate event in April.

Previous Carphone Warehouse Christmas parties have included performances by Jamiroquai and Basement Jaxx.
