The UK is in the grips of a looming recession and the general mood of the country is rather low.
However, there is no reason to forego the traditional office Christmas party just because of the credit crunch.
That is according to Karen McGrath, managing director of Cardiff-based event management company Eventure UK.
Speaking to the South Wales Echo, Ms McGrath said that corporate events can still take place this festive season despite the effects of the economic downturn.
She advised having a strict budget and "sticking to it" in order to ensure that that the party isn't too expensive but is one where guests can still have a good time.
Ms McGrath explained: "You dont need to spend lots of money to make sure your guests have a great time.
"The key to organising a fabulous Christmas party without breaking the bank is setting a budget and sticking to it, but also being creative and making sure the party doesn't lose its sparkle."
