Business leaders are being urged to hold corporate events in East Yorkshire to boost its image, according to reports.
Hull & East Yorkshire (Hey) Conferences has urged bosses from the area to champion East Yorkshire and encourage people to hold their conferences and corporate events in the region.
The company has said it will help in the planning of corporate events and work with companies to provide promotional materials and liaise with suppliers.
They hope that if a significant effort is made on the part of business bosses, the local area could boom with more demand for its resources and facilities.
Liz Neal, business tourism officer at Hey Conferences, told website thisishullandeastriding.co.uk: "This region is the perfect setting for conferences and events, offering countryside, coastal and city locations, easy accessibility by road, rail and air links and a huge choice of venues, accommodation and entertainment."
The promotion of Hull City football club is also helping to boost the popularity of the area and bringing much-needed money into the region.
