Goodwood corporate event sees executives take on students

A corporate event at the Goodwood racing circuit later this month will invite companies to submit electric cars to compete with secondary school designs.

Greenpower's first Corporate Challenge event will take place on April 27th, promoting the use of green motoring technologies.

Entrants are provided with identical electric motors and batteries, with which to create zero emission cars that can compete in a series of endurance challenges.

The top 15 secondary school entries from around the UK will race alongside designs submitted by participating firms.

Organisers Greenpower have confirmed that CBBC's Blue Peter will also take part in the corporate event, as well as providing practical guidance to the younger competitors.

Electric car racing veterans at West Somerset Community College will be working with the Blue Peter team.

Reigning national final champions Seaford College will take part in the gruelling four-hour finale, competing against designs from Bentley Motors, Renishaw and other large companies.

Particpation in the Greenpower corporate event is free for both entrants and spectators. The race day is being sponsored by Fordingbridge.ADNFCR-1121-ID-18553427-ADNFCR
