Leeds to host World Corporate Games
Leeds is set to host the World Corporate Games event this summer.
The prestigious gathering is expected to attract more than 6,000 participants from across Europe and the UK.
Due to kick off on 10th July, the 19th annual games will see participants compete in 21 sports over three days.
Teams representing companies across the country can be comprised of employees, clients, friends or family of any age or ability.
The corporate event is designed to encourage team building and is also useful for improving workforce morale.
Bill Torch, leader of the HBOS team, told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "It will be really great to see such a prestigious event hosted in our own city.
"Competing in the games is a great way to do business, meet new clients and integrate staff from all levels."
Local teams will represent a variety of Leeds' businesses, including EC Harris, Jones Laing La Salle, DLA Piper, KPMG and Addleshaw Goddard.
