Corporate events, weddings and concerts could soon be held at a listed building in Uckfield, East Sussex, it has been announced.
Bridge Cottage is due to undergo renovations to make it a suitable venue to host such events, the Kent & Sussex Courier reports.
The move will take place if the Uckfield and District Preservation Society gets the necessary building consent.
The society's website says: "Bridge Cottage is an aisled Wealden Hall House built to a relatively high architectural standard in about 1436 for a wealthy client.
"It has been greatly altered over the past six centuries but much of the original timber-work remains to show how it first looked with a service wing, central hall and solar wing.
"Major changes include opening up areas of the first and second floor, as well as rebuilding the building's staircase."
Bridge Cottage was reportedly built in 1436.
