A collection of services from across Northamptonshire are to be given a celebration party this week in honour of the good work they do for children and young people.
The Active Involvement and Engagement Charter Mark will be presented to four groups on Friday (November 29th) at a special ceremony.
Created by the shadow board of the county's Children and Young People's Partnership, the award will be given to charitable organisation Service 6, Northamptonshire County Council's youth service in the Wellingborough area, information and advisory service Connexions and Northamptonshire County Council's disabled children's service.
An "evening of celebration" will take place during which the awards will be given out and attendees will be treated to a disco and a performance by a live band.
According to Northamptonshire County Council, the Children and Young People's Partnership shadow process was created "to engage young people in the work of the partnership at the highest level and to give young people a greater say in the issues that affect them".
