Rio beach party comes to Chelsea
A taste of Rio comes to West London over this festive season and revellers are invited to join in the fun.
Diva Beach is bringing its Brazilian Beach to Fulham Road in Chelsea this New Year's Eve and hosting an exotic party.
This year's theme mirrors the party atmosphere of Rio de Janeiro where every year around two and a half million descend on Copacabana beach.
Traditionally these partygoers throw white flowers into the sea as an offering to Yemanja, the Goddess of the ocean.
It is believed during this ritual their wishes will be able to come true for the coming year.
This year's party will be located on the stretch of Fulham known as The Beach by locals.
Kicking off from 8pm, staff will be putting on a lavish reception of champagne, cocktail and decadent canapés before the night gets into full swing.
Entertainment includes DJ Dele and DJ Nikki on the decks who are guaranteed to get the party started and welcome in 2009 in style.
