Seventeen Events organise ethical awards ceremony

Sustainable event management agency Seventeen Events is working on the 2008 Observer Ethical Awards in association with Ecover, it has been announced.

The awards, now in their third year, highlight the standards for ethical living in the UK.

They look at who has done the most to safeguard the planet in the past year, with categories including politician of the year and best local retailer.

Seventeen prides itself in organising sustainable corporate events which do not compromise on style and sophistication.

A host of celebrities, including actor Colin Firth, model Elle McPherson, England and Portsmouth goalkeeper David James and singer Natalie Imbruglia will be on the judging panel for the awards.

The celebrity judging day for the awards will take place in April at Andaz – a newly refitted eco hotel.
