Swimming charity fundraising event in Newmarket
A new £14 million-pound refurbishment at a leisure complex in Newmarket means there is plenty more room for corporate events.
A range of new facilities have been unveiled at the centre in Exning Road, offering those who want to get fit a range of classes.
But it is also a great venue for parties and other corporate events and is set to see a rise in the number of bookings.
The first charity event being organised is the Newmarket and District Swimming Club's Swimalong.
It will be the first event held at the new centre and has been organised by The Rotary Club, the Newmarket Journal reports.
Newmarket Racecourses and Darley Racing will provide the commemorative T-shirts for the event, which already has 28 teams of between four and six people entered.
Richard Balfe, chairman of Anglia Community Leisure, said: "We are delighted to be hosting such a prestigious event which supports so many good causes.
"This will be an excellent way to show off the new pool and raise money for charity.
"We wish all the teams every success and look forward to seeing them there."
