A new venue for corporate events is set to be built in the north-east of England, according to reports.
York House Construction has won a contract to build a new 30,000 square foot conference centre in County Durham.
Website venues.org.uk reveals that the project will cost £5 million and will provide the north-east with one of its biggest venues.
It is to be built on the Newton Aycliffe Industrial Park for Xcel Holdings and will provide 40 new jobs, a movable stage and presentation equipment.
Andy Bruce, managing director of York House Construction, said: "This is going to be an immensely rewarding project. It is a complex build which will offer some fantastic facilities."
There will also be a separate exhibition hall which will seat around 250 people and also include new seminar rooms.
Companies will be able to use the centre to provide great corporate event venues for their employees.
