Hospitality industry to engage in qualifications reform

Hospitality business leaders are being urged to join together to help create qualifications for industry trainees, according to reports.

People 1st estimated that, while many hospitality industry employers provide training for their workers, this is often informal.

Now, the organisation is calling for industry leaders to get together to help form research for qualifications reform, website CatererSearch reveals.

Brian Wisdom, chief executive of People 1st, told the website: "We have a series of 75 events running across the country and we urge as many people as possible to get involved.

"This is the best way for hospitality business leaders to shape relevant qualifications for the future."
