The National Railway Museum in York is hosting this year's Enjoy England Awards for Excellence.
It will be only the second time the corporate event which takes place on April 23rd will be held outside of London.
During the event, some of the most outstanding organisations and individuals in the English tourism industry will be awarded.
The museum location was chosen because it is central and is a unique venue.
The awards presentation takes place in the platform setting of Station Hall, following a glittering reception and dinner.
Hugh Taylor, chair of the VisitEngland Board, said: "We were happy to select York because of its accessibility, wide range of accommodation and attractions and not least the commitment, support and enthusiasm of Yorkshire Tourist Board (YTB) and the National Railway Museum."
Rachel Fox, events manager north at the National Railway Museum, said the venue bosses were delighted to have been chosen as the location for the awards.
She added: "Our excellent reputation and enviable location all no doubt played a part in the selection process."
