Yorkshire tourist attraction appoints corporate events manager

A Yorkshire tourist attraction, which has seen a boost in the number of corporate events held there in recent months, has appointed a new manager to head up the events, it has been reported.

Amanda King will become the new events and corporate hospitality manager at Lightwater Valley near Ripon in North Yorkshire, the Northern Echo reports.

Ms King used to be the events coordinator at Lightwater Valley and has managed corporate events for 3,000 people.

She told the newspaper: "I am absolutely thrilled with my promotion. Last year's season was very successful, with a lot of companies using us for the very first time.

"I am proud that my achievement has led to Lightwater Valley investing in corporate events."
