Award-winning catering firm wins 50th contract

A catering firm recently named supplier of the year by one of its customers has reached a milestone by securing its 50th client, it has been revealed.

According to the Harrogate Advertiser, The Catering People has landed a deal with cleaning product manufacture McBride to provide food for corporate event entertainment at the firm's plant in Middleton, near Manchester.

The Catering People will also stock the restaurant and deli-bar for the McBride's 700 workers.

"To hit our client target so early in the year is great news for the company," company co-founder and director Andrew North told the publication.

"It is a clear indication that we are delivering a quality service and it helps us push on with our growth plans."

The Catering People was deemed supplier of the year by York-based Car Protection Plan, and according to Mr North this is down to a history of quality food at cost-effective prices.

Meanwhile, the Northern Echo reports that catering company Church's Cuisine is reaping the benefits of sending its staff on training courses.
