The upgrading of Chichester's Westgate Leisure Centre's catering facilities has commenced, it has been revealed.
An article in the Chichester Observer suggests the project will be completed in late October.
The bar, cafe and restaurant at the leisure centre will be made into one open-plan area and renamed the Cafe Ravenna, while the building will also benefit from the addition of two sports therapy treatment rooms and two new function rooms - both of which will be available to hire.
Westgate Leisure Chichester is owned by Chichester District Council and features a fitness room; health suite with steam room and two saunas; day spa; swimming pool; sports hall; squash courts; skate park; and function rooms for entertainment, children's parties, exhibitions, meetings and corporate training.
Meanwhile, the Park Inn Hotel in Leigh is set to open just two months behind schedule, the Bolton News reports.
Building work had been delayed as the main construction company fell into administration, but a new company - Larista - has stepped into the breach.
The hotel will contain two corporate services meeting rooms - which can be combined into one large event hall - complete with audiovisual equipment, individual climate control, natural light and WIFI access.
