Bath brewer Abbey Ales has launched a mobile bar in an attempt to tap into the corporate event and wedding market, it has been reported.
The Abbey bar, which has been purpose-built, will serve Bellringer beer as well as guest ales from other companies.
The move into the corporate event and wedding market has come about following popular demand, Abbey Ales employee Simon Morgan has revealed, and a limited roll-out - which saw the bar being put to use at parties thrown by friends and family - has proved to be a success.
As well as supplying the drinks, Abbey Ales will also organise the licensing of the event.
"I think the market is definitely out there, it's just tapping into it," commented Mr Morgan on the potential for success, as cited by the Bath Chronicle.
"I'm hoping we can get into the Royal Bath and West Show and the Trowbridge Village Pump Festival next year.
"But for now we are focusing on having a presence at weddings and at Bath companies' corporate events.
"We know that we can build up to festivals and the like over time."
Mr Morgan added that the smaller events would be important for building up the Abbey bar brand.
