New feasibility tool for corporate event organisers

An American travel services firm has launched a new online tool which allows corporate event organisers to determine whether their meetings can be staged at sea.

The Ship Shape Quiz from Landry & Kling compiles a feasibility score for staging a particular incentive trip or corporate event aboard a cruise ship, based on a series of straightforward questions.

A recent poll by Corporate Meetings & Incentives Magazine found that more than a third of its readership had used a cruise ship to host an incentive programme.

The survey also found that 72 per cent of the magazine's readers planned to use a cruise for a corporate event in the future.

Landry & King suspects that a significant proportion of event organisers are hesitant about staging their business meetings at sea due to fears about the suitability of the cruise environment.

The new internet quiz service is designed to lay these fears to rest, by assessing the practicality of using a ship to host a particular meeting or event.

The firm cites research by the holiday firm Maritz Travel, which shows that cruises were the most motivational type of incentive programme.

Landry & King was founded by Joyce Landry and Jo Kling more than 25 years ago and specialises in cruise event services.ADNFCR-1121-ID-18585740-ADNFCR
