Newcastle's latest corporate event service
Newcastle cruise operator River Escapes is reaching out to local businesses wanting to host corporate events on the Tyne.
The firm has launched a tailored corporate event management service for hiring out its floating meeting rooms.
Companies hosting business functions and conferences in the area can do so while enjoying a river cruise tour of Newcastle.
"Local businesses have provided us with a regular stream of bookings from parties to sightseeing tours for years," explained River Escapes managing director David Fozard.
"Because more and more national and international businesses are using the north-east as a conferencing venue, it made perfect sense for us to offer more facilities for meetings, corporate hospitality and post-conference activities."
Tyne & Wear publication the Journal reports a recent boom in the local corporate events industry.
According to NewcastleGateshead Initiative business tourism expert Jessica Roberts: "NewcastleGateshead's conference industry is booming and we are seeing increasing interest in the destination from meeting planners all across the UK.
"Clients are particularly interested in new and unusual venues and River Escapes' floating meeting room and business events service will fit the bill perfectly."
The river cruise operator can accommodate up to 180 passengers from between one and four hours, with prices varying between seasons.
