Scarborough hotels offer to step in after conference facility closure

Several Scarborough hotels have offered their services to those affected by the Hotel St Nicholas closure.

The hotel will eventually be reopened as a Travelodge, although the new business will have no conference facilities as it will concentrate on accommodation. Pre-existing wedding and conference bookings worth about £500,000 have all been lost.

According to Susan Stephenson at the Scarborough Evening News, a number of hotels have asked to be contacted directly be anyone seeking a replacement venue, to discuss availability.

They include the Esplanade Hotel in Belmont Road, Brooklands Hotel in Esplanade Gardens, the North Bay Railway Bistro and Tonics bar in Waterhouse Lane, the Ambassador in Esplanade and the Victoria Hotel in Westborough.
