Brides relinquish control as grooms plan the big day

A new reality television show is to see grooms take control of wedding planning, according to reports.

The new BBC Three series Don't Tell the Bride will see 'bridezillas' relinquish their control over their big day to their husbands-to-be.

Only the men can plan the wedding as a condition of the couple receiving enough cash for the wedding of their dreams.

But while the brides may have had big plans for their big day, they will not be allowed in on any of the wedding preparations, with the groom choosing everything from his bride's dress to the reception decor.

A spokesman for the new show said: "The pressure's on for the groom to show his romantic side. With only his best mates as advisors, it's up to the groom to choose everything from the venue to the ring.

"He also dictates the style and colour theme of the bridesmaid dresses and must pick what he feels is his bride's dream dress."

Don't Tell the Bride will feature on BBC Three beginning November 8th at 21:00.
