Novelties 4 Parties reports that the most common costumes include the classic nurse, nun and French maid outfits.
Stag party revellers are also increasingly opting for policeman, doctors and firemen uniforms.
Quirkier themes include the comedy sketch show Little Britain and the Disney animation Pocahontas.
Larger cities such as London and Manchester remain stag and hen do favourites, the fancy dress specialist also reports.
Other top destinations in the UK include Glasgow and Edinburgh, Nottingham, York, Blackpool, Brighton and Bournemouth.
A recent Teletext survey revealed that Brits spend up to £300 million each year on pre-marriage parties. One in ten splash out £500 per participant.
