Couples should ensure they factor in the cost of stag nights and hen parties to their wedding budget from the outset.
This is according to Francesca Moore of the marriage specialist hitched.co.uk, who also recommends checking that party guests are insurance for travel, if necessary.
With heading overseas an increasingly attractive option for couples about to tie the knot, factoring in the associated costs is particularly important.
"We recommend that the stag or hen party is built into the wedding budget from the very beginning so that there are no excuses not to have a fantastic night each," she said.
The weddings expert said that the plethora of destinations available means that, for many, local parties simply don't cut the mustard.
And most lovebirds will be prepared "to go a little bit further" and spend a little extra in order to make their pre-wedding celebrations memorable.
