Little black dress still top for party outfits

When it comes to deciding what to wear to an upcoming Christmas party or corporate event, the vast majority of female revellers are still choosing the traditional little black dress (LBD).

A new survey revealed that 66 per cent of female consumers still favour their LBD over any other outfit during the festive season.

Catalink.com's research questioned 1,300 female consumers said that women still bring out their dress and put it together with killer heels to create the perfect partying number.

Around one in five women said they would add a "little bit of bling" to their outfit with sparkly jewellery, while sixteen per cent said they would opt for skinny jeans.

Ginna Clark, CEO at Catalink.com, said: "Christmas time is jam-packed with parties and while this is great fun, it can be a nightmare in the wardrobe department.

"Our survey shows that it doesn't matter how many times you change your style, women always turn to that timeless favourite – the little black dress."
