Growing numbers of Brits are opting to take trips abroad for their stag and hen parties, though destinations in the UK continue to prove popular.
This is according to the wedding advice service Hitched, which reports that stag dos are traditionally more ambitious, but that hen nights were now becoming more extravagant.
Francesca Moore, a spokesperson for the nuptials specialist, said that tailored packages for future brides and grooms were making stag and hen parties overseas more accessible.
European capitals such as Dublin and Amsterdam are perennially popular choices with the boys, she explained, while women often prefer destinations nearer the Mediterranean.
"A few pints of Guinness in Dublin or the night life of Amsterdam are popular destinations for the stags," Ms Moore said.
"The ladies' choice might be a Spanish sangria, or trip up north to Edinburgh."
Many wives and husbands-to-be are also looking across the Atlantic for truly unforgettable pre-marriage parties.
The self-proclaimed wedding capital of the world, Las Vegas, is a favourite among the high-rolling men, while hen nights may involve a shopping spree and party in New York.
