As the credit crunch continues to take its toll on unsuspecting victims, new research reveals some top tips to save money on the Big Day.
Companies Bridalguide.com and AmericanBridal.com are celebrating the winter wedding season by giving out some much-needed advice to credit crunch brides.
The economic downturn is taking its toll in all areas and brides too are currently having to adjust their wedding plans in order to be able to afford the celebrations.
Shirley Tan, chief executive of AmericanBridal.com, is writing an editorial featuring money-saving tips, as a poll reveals brides-to-be are getting stressed out by the added pressure of restricting their budgets.
She said: "Winter weddings carry so many hidden costs. They commit to this fantasy wedding and the hidden costs can halt the process, ruining these fantasies.
"I want brides to know that there are ways to have a beautiful wedding on any budget even in the winter."
In the UK this month unlucky bride Helen Bedford lost £600 and was forced to find another wedding dress when the bridal shop she bought it from went into liquidation.
