The economic downturn is taking its toll in all areas and brides too are currently having to adjust their wedding plans in order to be able to afford the celebrations.
Shirley Tan, chief executive of AmericanBridal.com, is writing an editorial featuring money-saving tips, as a poll reveals brides-to-be are getting stressed out by the added pressure of restricting their budgets.
She said: "Winter weddings carry so many hidden costs. They commit to this fantasy wedding and the hidden costs can halt the process, ruining these fantasies.
"I want brides to know that there are ways to have a beautiful wedding on any budget even in the winter."
