Artificial flowers all the rage for weddings
A beautiful flower arrangement and gorgeous bouquet are some of the most import aspects of a wedding and it seems that some brides are now faking it.
An artificial flower company has been honoured in a prestigious wedding industry event.
Sarah's Flowers was one of the top three nominations for the Wedding Ideas magazine's Wedding Awards 2008.
For nearly four years, Jason and Sarah Read have been providing artificial flowers for bridal parties, giving them the best quality silk and artificial wedding bouquet.
Last year, they provided flowers for around 5,000 weddings.
Speaking of their nomination, Mr Read, managing director, said: "We would like to thank all the people who took the time to vote for us.
"Although we didn't take the top spot, we were a highly commended runner-up."
Ten years ago, an artificial florist would not have been commended so highly.
Mrs Read said: "The nomination was such an honour. It validates what we've always believed – that silk and artificial flowers are the perfect choice for weddings. Finally, that notion has received the attention it deserves. We're thrilled to receive a spot among the best wedding florists."
