Blue Strawberry's new Organic Weddings Service

Wedding and party caterer Blue Strawberry has launched a new organic service in the UK to cater for a growing demand for organic and locally-grown produce.

The firm has identified a growing desire among brides and grooms in Britain to throw sustainable weddings or parties that use exclusively organic food and recycled materials.

Founded by Molly Ronan, the wedding caterer specialises in tailored services and innovative solutions to specific party needs, such as place cards made from recycled paper, pebbles or leaves.

The new Organic Weddings Service will work with suppliers of fresh organic produce across the country, or preferred organic producers if specified by the bride in question.

For a completely green wedding, couples can also request recycling bins, or have the leftover food recycled by a local organic farmer or local charity.

"Demand for organic wedding food has increased enormously over the last year," according to the Blue Strawberry founder.

"We decided to set up Blue Strawberry's Organic Wedding Service for people who are keen to have an environmentally-friendly wedding day," she continued.

"We advise them to keep the mood seasonal and try to base everything around the colours and textures of the season - cool whites and creams in the summer with fragrant lavenders and voluptuous roses, harvest feasts in the autumn with colours of gold and burnt orange and organza fabrics to rich red velvet and shiny metallics at Christmas with scents of spices."

Blue Strawberry predominately sources dairy products from Dorset, as well as organic meat from Scotland and the south of England. Fruits and vegetables are typically purchased from local farmers.ADNFCR-1121-ID-18610368-ADNFCR
