A seventeenth century castle in Dorset was the perfect venue for a medieval-themed wedding earlier this month, according to local media reports.
Sian Jenkins and Rupert Hammerston-Fraser's 14th century wedding at Lulworth Castle looked like something out of a period film, with full elaborate costumes and jousting taking place.
The bride wore a three-layered silk dress and arrived at the castle to meet her groom who rode in on a white horse, the Dorset Echo reports.
Sian told the newspaper: "The day was wonderful - everything I could have wished for and it is a wedding that will go down in history."
The history buffs forked out £30,000 for their dream wedding, which had all the traditional trimmings of a 14th century do, including dishes of hare, stuffed dates and roast hog.
The bride added: "Rupert shares my passion so a medieval wedding was the obvious choice as I don't think a traditional wedding would have suited us."
