Cost-conscious British couples are hoping to save money by combining their annual summer holiday with their wedding, according to a new report.
With property prices falling, food costs spiralling and fuel costs through the roof, innovative couples are devising ways to save money.
Many engaged couples are choosing to kill two birds with one stone by tying the knot on their summer holidays.
Some of them are just going on holiday and then deciding while out there that they would like to have their ceremony there and then.
Candida Jane Blaxall from Whatever Ibiza revealed a couple had recently got married after discovering that the popular holiday destination could actually be a romantic setting to wed.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Hand fro marryabroad.co.uk, said couples are finding it increasingly attractive to get married abroad.
She said: "More couples are deciding that a wedding abroad is a cheaper option in the current climate and we are receiving more enquiries from couples who have already been on holiday and have decided to get married in their holiday destination.
"We would always recommend couples try to visit their wedding location before they exchange vows anyway to avoid any mistaken illusions or misunderstandings so this development is more than welcome."
