Contrary to popular belief, women are more likely than men to have a final fling on their hen night before tying the knot, a new study shows.
Market research site OnePoll surveyed 2,000 married men and women, finding that stag parties tend to be more intimate gatherings, while hen dos typically involve up to 20 friends.
More than one in five brides-to-be (21 per cent) admitted cheating on the eve of their weddings, compared to 16 per cent of men.
Grooms were found to be more likely to brag about their endeavours, while most women will keep quiet about any hen night transgressions.
OnePoll's John Sewell described the findings as "pretty worrying".
"I just wonder how many married Brits are blissfully unaware of the debacles which might have gone on the night before their wedding," he said.
While one in ten men spend their last night of freedom handcuffed to a lamppost, a quarter of women have strippers at their pre-wedding parties.
In total, almost two in three hen nights and stag dos involve either a stripshow, lap dancers or kissograms.
