Your wedding day is one of the most important events of your life but despite all the planning, things can always go wrong.
Insurers are warning brides, grooms and their wedding planners to make sure they have taken out insurance to cover them should the worst happen on the Big Day.
As wedding season continues, Fair Investment are warning couples that they need to make sure they are covered for events from the venue cancelling to the cake toppling onto the floor.
With the average wedding in the UK now costing more than £18,000, it's more important than ever to make sure mistakes do not end up being costly.
Daniela Gieseler, a spokesperson for fairinvestment.co.uk, said: "Your wedding should be one of the best days of your life so why take any risks?
"There are so many things that could go wrong, imagine if someone dropped the cake or ordered the wrong flowers by mistake? With wedding insurance you could cover the cost of such incidents and put your mind at rest."
She added that you can insure your whole wedding for just £60 which she described as "a drop in the ocean" compared to the other nuptial costs.
Ms Gieseler said: "You would insure a computer that cost £1,000, so to not insure a precious wedding dress, with added sentimental value, seems absurd."
