But women in Grantham are being given the opportunity to relive that special feeling at a charity ball later on this year.
Caythorpe salon Tip Top Hair and Beauty is organising an event which invites married women to show off their dress once again, the Grantham Journal reports.
The event, which will take place on April 5th, is being organised to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
It will be held at PGL's Caythorpe Court, Station Road. For £55 guests will get a three course meal, a drink, entertainment and a raffle ticket.
