Asian wedding tradition projects gets £50k funding
A lottery grant is being used to help preserve the art of the Asian wedding, according to a local newspaper report. The Vivaah – Our Weddings project has just received £49,800 from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The project looks at the ritual, cuisine, colours and traditions of South Asian weddings and explains them to the younger generation in order to ensure that the traditions are not lost when these young people get married. ...
