Haven Holidays to offer corporate events
While Haven is usually associated with family holidays, the company is set to broaden its horizons and venture into the arena of corporate events.The company’s head of specialist sales, Annabel Graham-Martin has suggested that the company's 35 parks offer companies the "perfect setting for events such as conferences, product launches or team building".
She explained that the company was looking to "differentiate itself " from the competition and was forward looking in its approach to business....

New sauces launched at Hospitality 2009
The Hospitality Show at the NEC Birmingham was host to over 300 companies including Major International that launched a number of new products at the event. As a leading manufacturer of stocks, sauces and marinades, the company clearly felt that Hospitality with its 14,000 visitors was the prefect venue to showcase its latest products.

Silver medal winners of La Parade des Chefs announced
La Parade des Chefs restaurant competition was held at the Hospitality Show at the NEC Birmingham and the Sodexo Culinary Team managed to bag themselves a silver medal at the event. Carterersearch.com reported on Sodexo's success, which they won for their three-course meal that included "gilt head bream, tortellini of shellfish, creamed leeks and shellfish bisque".
That was just for starters though. The main course consisted of "roasted saddle of rabbit with Cumbrian ham, winter vegetables, braised potato and elderberry port jus". ...

Art skills on display at catering show
Catering industry insiders have been busy showcasing their artistic skills at a national competition held in the UK. Part of Hospitality 2009 at the NEC in Birmingham, Works in Fat saw over 200 catering companies from across the UK compete against each other to create the ultimate food masterpiece.

Eco-friendly bottling system
Vivreau water has been showcasing its latest bottler system that can be used for corporate events or private parties. The company provided water to the Hospitality Show's exclusive restaurant, La Parade des Chef via its new Mk3 bottler system.
According to the manufacturer, the Mk3 "dispenses unlimited quantities of purified, chilled, still and sparkling water into re-usable designer glass bottles". ...

Recession beating tips for catering industry
Catering companies that want to beat the recession have been advised to look at key aspects of their business. Caterersearch.com was reporting on Paul Milsom, owner of Milsom Hotels and Restaurants, who was speaking at the Hospitality show at the NEC and advised firms to look after "customer care", provide "well-priced food" and develop their staff.
Mr Milsom explained that he had come up against some serious issues during the 1990s recession and suggested that had made his company more prepared for tough times ahead. ...
