The Mehendi night is a traditional Eastern wedding celebration and can be described as something similar to a hen night in the West, with all the bride’s friends and relatives getting together in a fun-filled evening.
It is traditionally the ritual of applying coloured decoration to the bride’s hands and feet and this is conducted whilst singing traditional Mehendi songs. Nowadays, it is celebrated as a very lavish and grand affair and is usually one of the most exciting functions in the week leading up to the wedding day.
